The Poison Oak Land Zine (Issue #1)

$5.00

An East Bay Cycling focused zine called 'Poison Oak Land' (tongue in cheek joke about the Land of Poison Oak, ie our hills).

It is 20 pages and contents include:

A guide to Tunnel Road's Geology

- Willem Bosboom's (who runs a mobile bike shop called Tasty Cycle) mind map for fixing bike squeaks/creaks
- A review of 'Two Wheels Good' by Jody Rosen by me
- One-year retrospective on a Wednesday night MTB ride called Shrednesday
- An interview with Luckyduck Bicycle Cafe co-founder Aaron Wacks
- A few pieces of local artwork and some great photos

The purpose of the zine is to showcase and celebrate all of the great people, rides, gear, and projects surrounding cycling in the East Bay.

Definitely inspired by Calling in Sick, Low Pressure Zine, Bicycle Quarterly, and Dirtrag (among others).

I'm very grateful for the amazing cycling scene here and want to connect some of the dots and get people inspired and informed šŸ˜.
